The cottage is a short drive north of downtown Hastings, which has been rated one of the best small towns in America by Norman Crampton, author of "The 100 Best Small Towns in America." Leach Lake is an all-sports lake with excellent fishing. The cottage is equipped with paddle boards, kayaks, a canoe, and a row boat for your trip.

Hidden in the woods

Quiet, country setting that comfortably accommodates two. This space is above our garage, which is not attached to our house. We have lots of chickens, curious cats and a couple of friendly goats. We are often outside working or playing, but the apartment is very private once you are upstairs!! There is NO WiFi here. There IS a lovely, private balcony with a nice view, lots of movies, and fun games. Verizon service works great here, so if you have a Hotspot you could hook up to our smart TV.
