The Carriage - A first class experience

Step back in time to this restored 1950's Pullman railway carriage, with the added luxury of 21st century amenities. The Carriage is set on tracks where the original line ran through Ullock on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, with the river Marron running below. Relive a unique journey with the addition of being able to step out onto the platform for sunbathing, breakfast or your evening meal then retire to the antique king sized bed with dressing room, ensuite and Eden toiletries.

The Red Train Carriage

The Red Train Carriage is a special place to stay next to the train tracks of The Swanage Railway. We believe it was built in about 1858 for GER as a 2nd class passenger carriage. It was just a shell when we got it, with it's original walls, doors, ceiling and floor, but the seating had been removed. There was only a few clues about its history in some of the doors and windows. We have saved as much of the original carriage as possible whilst making it a comfortable place to stay for a week.

Cosy all year with woodstove and kitchenette, it has all you need for a relaxing stay. With optional wood-fired hot tub in the nearby woodland, water levels allowing, for that added touch of relaxation. Walking distance from Dyfi Bike Park or the CAT.

Gamekeepers Carriage is our beautifully converted railway carriage that has been developed to create self contained accommodation, our take on luxury glamping. Positioned elevated above Pateley Bridge on our family run farm you will find yourselves surrounded by fields moorland and stunning views. Sleeping two the bespoke and individual carriage whilst small and relatively compact is perfectly formed. The addition of a hot tub provides luxury for every occasion and we welcome well behaved dogs.

We have built this Pullman style railway carriage and sighted it over looking the old Nidd Valley railway line that runs through the farm. He’s 24ft by 9ft with shower, toilet, kitchen, heating... in fact everything you will need for a stay away. We have reclaimed many railway items including the four handles, luggage rack, lamps, signs and much more. He is authentic as he can be. Outside is a covered area overlooking wonderful Dales view, open topped wood fired hot tub, seating and table.

We have a viewing platform to admire the amazing dark skies and a hot tub to relax in as well as secure bike storage and a drying room, after a walk or cycle ride in the lovely Northumberland countryside. The carriage is nestled in a field to the back of a working farm, surrounded by fantastic views and natural beauty, it is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway or relaxing evening following a days walk along the Cleveland Way. Children are welcome at the carriage and additional sleeping is available on the day bed in the living area.
