Just a 40 second drive to the New River Public access where you can enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking etc., The small town of Independence is just 15 minutes away, convenient for groceries, restaurants and rental of kayaks etc., Visit Grayson Highlands National Park for hiking and spot wild ponies.

We have been renovating an old 1950’s dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn. We built this private Rustic Rooster Room on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. The room is perfect for families to come enjoy the outdoors! We also have 2 other Suites available: Dream Rock Silo, sleeps 2 Creekside Bungalow, sleeps 4

Outdoor fire pit and indoor wood stove are sure to keep you entertained in both cold and warm weather. Newly added mini split will keep the chill off in winter and heat out in summer. Black bear, wild turkey, and deer are the only visitors you will have. Set atop a large waterfall the sound of the falls is audible throughout the property.

The house is just minutes away from Grayson Highlands State Park, The Virginia Creeper Trail, West Jefferson, Helton Creek, and the New River.
