Enjoy the sunrise or sunset from the porch watching the deer, or gather around the fire-pit under the oak trees at night. Wind down at the end of the day enjoying the newly installed private Hot Tub and back porch deck.

We wanted to share this property and all its magic with anyone who genuinely appreciates the outdoors. So please enjoy a stay in a natural setting with a catch and release fishing pond, indoor/ outdoor fireplace, and all the quiet one can ask for. Sip your morning coffee to the sounds of wildlife just a few minutes away from downtown Fredericksburg.

The Gumbo Getaway is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin with a king bed and a full sofa sleeper in the living room. Our cabin was built in 2021. We welcome our guests to come enjoy our cozy spot in the hill country with the convenience of staying only 15 mins from Main Street in Fredericksburg. **Guests are permitted to walk the road starting at the cattle guard entrance and ending at The Lagniappe Lodge. (The LL has a big rock sign out front.) Do not walk past the Lagniappe Lodge.**

We have Barbado sheep, Ally the llama, Miss Piggy our potbelly pig, and Duke the guard dog. We, the owners are always on-site to help make your stay an enjoyable one.
