Ideal for a weekend break, overnight or holiday to visit the Waitaki district with all of it’s unique attractions Victorian Oamaru; Moeraki boulders 10mins south; Dunedin City an hour’s drive; turquoise lakes 90 minutes west with Duntroon, Alps2Ocean tracks and Elephant Rocks enroute. Private, delightful garden & decks facing the sun. Outdoor seating provided. Your well behaved, house trained dog is welcome to stay. Our unique stand alone studio is a small, historic, renovated school about 30km north of Dunedin and close to the village of Karitane. The school has everything you need for a warm, comfortable stay. There books and games for your use. We live in a repurposed sheep shearing shed nearby and both buildings are surrounded by extensive gardens and plantings. There are panoramic views of the very picturesque coast line and out to sea. It is very peaceful and private.

Coastal Soul Karitane No cleaning fee, winter Spec

Coastal Soul came into existence when my husband living at home with Alzheimers and I felt I needed to have something else in my life as well. Our little unit/cottage where a family friend had been living became vacant and I had the perfect recipe for looking after my soul, redecorate and give the cottage a new lease in life as well as myself, unfortunately my husband has passed on but his memory will always be part of the cottage.
