The yurt is solar powered with 12vt lights and has a wood burning stove, shower room and composting toilet. A luxury holiday cottage consisting of a wing of Kildrochet House, an early 18th Century Grade B listed building. Set within 5 acres of it's own land and situated in the beautiful countryside of Wigtownshire, South West Scotland. We started this listing in 2013 but only put the bare essentials in. Only today, April 4 2018 have we actually finished it. This is why we have had no guests or reviews from Airbnb so far! You can find 5-star reviews for us on Trip Advisor.

Recently renovated with a new garden room, utility, extra bedroom, upgraded kitchen, wifi and digital TV and enclosed garden this secluded cosy cottage has spectacular 360 panoramic views over Wigtown Bay. It is perfect for families or two couples. Kids have space to make dens, climb trees or toast marshmallows. In summer relax on the patio and sip a cool drink. In winter curl up with a book or board game and enjoy the stunning views from the cosy interior.

Back Lodge. Alticry Farm

Well appointed cottage with spectacular setting and very private. Panoramic views over Luce Bay. Mull of Galloway lighthouse is the view from your double bed. Please note electric cars can be charged at Wigtown or Whithorn. Fast charges 50kw and 25p/kilowatt. Cottage wiring and fuses not suitable. The low power adds 4miles per charge and puts a great strain on the wiring/fuses. Like leaving a 8 bar heater on therefore not available at the cottage.

An old stone bothy converted in 2017, the accommodation offers a private open plan space with it's own entrance, patio garden and parking. Situated on a smallholding looking out to sea in a beautiful region on the Solway coast, secluded beaches and coves are only a 15 minute stroll and the artists town of Kirkcudbright a short drive away. We offer a 15% discount for weekly stays.
