The Old Dairy, cottage on Highland Farm

As the name suggests this cottage was previously used as dairy on the family farm in years gone by. The house was built in the 1850's, the first house on the farm as it is now. The cottage was also known as Grieves House and was home to the Manager of Dalmore Distillery years and years ago. We live on a family farm and there is always somebody nearby for assistance during your stay. Dalmore Farm is in a quiet location on the edge of Alness, a busy town which in 2018 won the title of Best High Street in Scotland. Set on the shore of the Cromarty Firth, this makes an ideal base for exploring Easter Ross and the Northern Highlands. Alness town centre is approx 10 - 15 walk Morrisons and Lidl are approx 5 minute walk

Sitting in an historic highland estate the secured location has fully fenced gardens offering direct access to hill and forest walks up to the Great Glen Way and the wilderness of the highlands and yet is only minutes from the amenities of a major town and nearby transport hubs. It is also a great starting point for the North 500.

The location offers the best of both worlds, it has many historical attractions located within walking distance such as Culloden Battlefield, Cumberland stone and Clava Cairns, whilst only a short drive from the city centre where you can find Inverness castle, the river ness and a wide range of shops and restaurants. Inverness is a vibrant area perfect for the beginning of the NC500.

A spacious self contained one bedroom cottage with a bed that can be configured as a super king or two singles, on Speyside whisky trail, in rural location, 10min drive/ 35-40min walk from centre of Aberlour, spectacular views, patio garden, pets welcome. many Distillery’s, local attractions, restaurants, pubs & shops all a short drive away, perfect for quiet getaway & exploring the beautiful area with its countryside, beaches & mountains, suitable for a couple/friends sharing/couple with baby.

Dunglass Cottage, Brahan Estate

Dunglass Cottage is situated on Brahan Estate in the Scottish Highlands 15 miles North of Inverness and on the North Coast 500 route . You will find beautiful scenery and lots of things to do amongst our 4000 acres of countryside. Activities include fishing, bird watching, shooting, walking and stunning landscapes for the keen photographer. Also seven golf courses close by and a wealth of History in the Highlands. We are also very dog-friendly so no need to leave man’s best friend at home!

Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

The Lodge, Nutwood House

The Lodge is the west wing of Nutwood House, a unique property, once the Factor’s House and part of the Earl of Cromartie estate. Situated in a beautiful, peaceful location on the edge of the Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer, all amenities within 5 minutes walk. Magnificent views across the Peffery Valley. Private garden and many activities to enjoy, forest walks, mountain biking,fishing etc. Nearby places include the renown Rogie Falls.Great location and base to explore the Highlands.

An ideal spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life with beautiful walks and cycling routes right on the doorstep. The Victorian cottage, with its own private garden, has been tastefully renovated with all modern amenities to ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. A cute and cosy modernised cottage with hot tub surrounded by fields and with a beautiful river at the bottom of the garden. The house is well situated and has a spacious patio and lawn, enclosed garden with access to walks up the river and other beautiful local areas. A good base to strike out for West Coast and Highlands. We recently added a twin room in addition to our double en-suite and king bedrooms.
