The Tower, Thornton Castle

Traditional & relaxed accommodation in the 16th century Scottish tower of our family home. Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. We're just a short drive from castles, waterfalls, and great trails. Shops, Bars and Restaurants are 5 minutes by car!

Royal Snug With BBQ Cabin

Set in the heart of Royal Deeside the Royal Snug provides a bespoke experience. Our accommodation is built and furnished to a high standard, creating a delightful and unique getaway for guests. It is self-contained, with an ensuite bathroom and kitchenette and is specially-designed to be used all year round. It has its own private garden along with decking and furniture and also boasts its very own bbq cabin.We also have the Wee Snug with games room theme if your dates aren't available.

The Annex ( with Sauna )

Self check-in is available if required. Self contained annex with spacious, south facing bedroom with access out to the garden which guests can use. We are 2 minutes walk from the river and can direct you to nearby hills and lochs where scenic walks can be enjoyed. There is a cosy, friendly pub just round the corner which serves home cooked meals all day. They welcome "muddy boots, kids and dogs". We are dog friendly too so please feel free to bring your well behaved dog along.

The Farm Bothy Cottage

The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.

Couthie Cooshed in the Cairngorms

Lovely holiday cottage in the Cairngorms for two with open plan kitchen living area, cosy sleeping gallery, contemporary shower room and private patio. The Couthie Cooshed is cosy well appointed and is set in a private garden on the edge of fields. This barn is a wonderful place to relax and unwind in the country surrounded by fields and wildlife. There is a doctor, veterinary surgery, charity shop, golf club and excellent on the doorstep adventure for all levels. Torphins is ideally located between Deeside and Donside for access to the fishing and hunting with Cairngorm national park also within 10 minutes drive.

Nochty Studio |Strathdon |Cairngorms National Park

A place to get away, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings! Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.
