Renovated fishing cottage close to the beach

Our holiday home is a home from home! Our boys have grown up here so we hopefully have everything a family needs. It is within walking distance to the beach, harbour, cafes and restaurants. A short drive away you will find distilleries, golf courses and the beautiful Moray coast. We spent 6 years renovating our beautiful fisherman's cottage and we regularly spend time here with our boys. We would like to reassure guests that we follow all industry guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety.

The Old Merchant House, Portsoy Harbour

“The Old Merchant House” is a stunning, iconic, grade A listed property sitting immediately on the harbour front in Portsoy and is located on the Moray Firth coastal footpath and National Cycle Route 1. The property has a date stone of 1726 and was originally the home of Alexander (Laird) Brebner, a famous merchant and renowned smuggler. Our cottage is one of the most spacious within the conservation village, with off street car parking available.
