Borgir – the land and the farm house The farmhouse Borgir is located only 10m from the ocean on a land of more than 400 hectare of unspoiled nature, surrounded by hills on the west and ocean on east side. The wildlife is very vivid with seals, sheeps, horses, arctic foxes and various birds all around. Walking routes are available for your private encounter. Borgir is ideal place for hiking, kayaking, meditating as well as other outdoor activities. Borgir is also a good base for day trips to the Westfjords. Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

The cottages at Thurranes are 43 square meters. Two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a sleeping loft that fits 2 adults. The house can accommodate 6 adults. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. The house is equipped with a kitchen, where you find a little stove, a sink, a microwave and refrigerator. The living room has a couch and a small TV set. A small bathroom with a shower. Hot water, central heating but no WiFi A private hot tub, chairs and a gas BBQ are on the deck.
