Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Up North

Up North and its sister cabin Green Acres are both comfortable one bedroom cabins with screened in decks on a wooded setting. There is a trail right outside the front door that leads to a sitting area on the Black River. The river is shallow with a sandy bottom. Perfect for dogs that love to swim. Along the way you’ll see the best of nature including creeks, ravines, hills, and probably some wildlife. The cabins are only 10 minutes away from South Haven’s world class beaches and restaurants.
