It is an ideal base from which to explore the unspoilt scenery of North Mayo with lots of outdoor activities, archeological sites and empty beaches in easy reach. Blue flag Ross beach is only 5 minutes away and the historic village of Killala is within walking distance.

Cuckoo Wood Hexagon, 5km from Westport

This cabin has a hexagon shape with a square porch where the front door is. The Hexagon, as I call it, is situated on its own on land that is half orchard half woodland. On the morning sun side, where the door is, the decking leads to the little purpose built bathroom building. There is a perspex canopy so you can walk over staying dry even if it is raining. A few goats and a few hens roam in the adjoining field.
