Gamekeeper’s Cabin is a self-enclosed property ideal for visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Borders, New Lanark, and Dumfries & Galloway. When the sun is shining you can enjoy the private outdoor seating area. Otherwise, enjoy the fire and bask in cosiness. Our rural location on a cycle route just outside the historic market town of Biggar brings privacy, stunning views, and great walks like Coulter Fell or Tinto. We recommend bringing a car (Biggar is a 15-minute walk away), parking is provided.

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". The cottage is the perfect place to stay when attending weddings, a base for work or just a few days away. It is a real home from home.

It's around 18 miles from Glasgow and on the A71, which connects to Edinburgh.
