Playa Jaibas

Make the first footprints on the beach in the morning and the last ones at night at Playa Jaibas. You only have to walk past the pool and across the lawn in front of this fully staffed modern home to reach the Pacific Ocean—though it will take a few more steps to explore its private 900-acre setting. Follow your whims to quiet lagoons, forested hiking trails, or the towns of Careyes and Chamela. After breakfast prepared by your chef, bring a book out to a lounger by the villa’s infinity pool or let the kids bury you in the sand on the beach. If you’ve spent the day walking the 2-mile beach or hiking the property, you deserve an al-fresco dinner, a drink from the indoor wet bar, and a little relaxing in front of the cable TV.
