Our newly built, modern cabin offers a secluded and relaxing retreat in Union, Maine. With the high ceilings, open floor plan, and many windows, guests are surrounded by natural light and forest views. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy fireplace, and an outdoor grill and fire pit. Walking trails connect the cabin to our farm next door, where you can visit with our horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. We are just 25 minutes from the Midcoast's shops, restaurants, and beaches.

Rustic Family Cabin on China Lake

This rustic cabin has been in my family for 4 generations. It's well loved, a bit quirky, sometimes musty and perfect for a family get away. We welcome well trained dogs, and have high expectations that you will respect the place and leave it in good shape for us and future guests. We welcome families, but after bad experiences, we are not available for your group of friends, reunion, or bachelor/(ette) party. We ask you to bring your own linens. The water in the cabin is not drinkable

The private front deck is the perfect spot for a sunset cocktail after a day of swimming and kayaking from the sandy beach. Halcyon Ridge is owned by Lynn & Chuck Hadyniak, who live nearby. Lynn & Chuck moved out of New Jersey years ago to get away from the hustle & bustle, & raise a family in peace. They love Freedom for its quiet & natural beauty, & would love to host people at Halcyon Ridge who also want to escape the noise. Stargazers will be delighted: low humidity, expansive view of the southeastern sky, & next to no light pollution, make for wonderful viewing. Rest. Relax. Recharge.

BREEZE, in a tree The Appleton Retreat

BREEZE Treehouse, at The Appleton Retreat is located on 120 acres of private land, bordered by 1,300 acres of a protected nature conservancy. To the south is the Pettengill Stream a resource protected area and to the north a large secluded pond. BREEZE does not have a hot tub but guests may reserve the sauna, which is close by and private. The Appleton Retreat is less than a 30 minute drive to Belfast, Rockport, Camden and Rockland, charming downeast seaside towns.
