We are a working arable farm, with some sheep over the surrounding hills, we are lucky to have views over to Ivinghoe Beacon on one side, and Aylesbury Vale on the other. Overlooking the Chilterns, dating back to 1740 Marquis House was originally a pub. The Barn is where the beer was kept, but now it offers sumptuous accommodation for you to relax. Independent access and self contained for your privacy. The Barn has everything you need including a log burner and 50" TV in the lounge, a hand made King Size bed and an extensive kitchen including a dishwasher, washing machine and coffee machine (open the stable door to take in the view). With the station only a 7 min walk away you can be in Cambridge in 30 minutes and in London in an hour. Take a 5 min walk into the centre of town where there are coffee houses, pubs, other eateries and a large Tesco. The village of Pavenham is situated just 6 miles north of Bedford. Surrounded by the beautiful setting of the River Ouse, the village has a magnificent golf club and a pub right in the centre. Just 100 metres from the Old George and Dragon, the COCK does not provide food at the moment, but a great atmosphere. However, 5 minutes drive away is the SUN at Felmersham which does good food. Several places in Bedford deliver takeaways. Ideal for walkers on the John Bunyan Trail.
