The Saddlerock Guesthouse is located just 2 miles inside the Colorado/New Mexico border. Branson is home to beautiful views of mesas and wide-open prairies. If you are looking for a quiet, quaint place to relax or go hiking, the Guesthouse is a perfect fit! Branson is a small town with hardly any amenities, so if you are looking to get away from it all, this is your place! We have had several Guests stay for the express purpose of star gazing! Cabin 6 is our most popular unit. With wood log walls inside it's about 900 sq. ft and sleeps up to 5 people. It's got a full size fridge, gas stove, microwave and a full set of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc. There's a wood burning stove plus gas and electric heaters. It has a large foyer/entryway for all your outdoor gear. The patio out back offers unobstructed views to the lake, while the log bench out front is a perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset over Wheeler Peak, NM's tallest.

It is a wonderful experience to stay in our beautiful home in the mountains of Northern New Mexico surrounded by vast ranch lands. Viewing wildlife and observing nature is a favorite pastime for our guests and the wildlife is everywhere, from birds in the sky and in the water to many elk, deer and other mammals abound. The log home is modern and refined in its restoration although it is now 100 years old and is unique to our area in its style and comfort. We DO NOT ALLOW PETS.
