We have two cats with no access to rented space. We also host a 2nd larger space - Sweet Circa 1830 Farmhouse Apt. Local art and music, 20 minutes to Parkway and Blowing Rock, 40 to AppState and Boone. Great hiking, biking, and wild and scenic Wilson's Creek close by. My place is in the middle of the local main attractions - we are close to Blowing Rock (35 min.), Boone (55 min.), South Mountains, (60 min.) Asheville (75 min.) - A great area for hiking and biking. You’ll love my place because of peaceful, natural, creative sensibilities throughout this newly renovated apartment - a blend of interesting and unique elements from my travels. This space is perfect for anyone looking for solace, and a respite from the everyday life.

Rockwall Cabin by the Pond

Catch bass from the deck! This cozy cabin sits on a 100 year old rock retaining wall and overlooks a 1 acre pond. Feels like you are in the mountains but only a 10 minute drive from Hickory. Functional bathroom w/ running hot water and climate controlled living space. Kitchenette with small refrigerator and microwave. The large front deck has lighting and a gas grill for cooking out. Plenty of wildlife around including deer, fox, & various birds.

Sunbear Cabin - Cycling/Hiking/Flyfishing

Surrounded on three sides by the Pisgah National Forest with a long-range mountain view from the deck, adventure awaits right outside the door. Sunbear also has high-speed internet for remote work and a backup generator. Cooler months offer backcountry hiking along creeks chocked with waterfalls off the eastern flank of the cabin. Summer features wildlife, Fireflies, and a nice quiet place to escape the summer heat.
