White River Haven, mountain paradise on the river

The amazing White River, full of trophy trout, runs through our yard. We also have national forests, state parks, hiking trails, OHV, snowmobile & horse rentals, boating & fishing lakes- all nearby. There are over 250 miles of OHV trails, the world's largest migrating elk herd, summer rodeo series, International sheepherding trials, and more. There's plenty to do! It's a year-round recreation destination. It is also wonderful to just sit on the deck listening to the river and watch it flow past.

Escape to this serene mountain getaway nestled beside a peaceful reflective pond in the heart of rustic Western Colorado. Surrounded by open space and mountain views in every direction, this secluded getaway offers the perfect blend of comfort and nature. Located 16 miles west of Glenwood Springs off I-70 with easy access to hot springs, ski resorts, and hiking and biking trails. From the view of the mountains right outside the front door and deck, you can walk a few blocks to restaurants, post office, hiking trails, and the White River Museum. Meeker's location in one of the most remote areas of Colorado makes it a perfect home base for heading to the surrounding public lands including the Flat Tops Wilderness and White River. It’s also a destination for the Sheepdog Trials and Mustang Makeover.

This is a simple cabin-home is located 7 miles up from the Colorado river on Sweetwater Creek. Three more miles up the road is Sweetwater Lake and the jump off area for the White River National Forest and the Flat Tops Wilderness area. Glenwood Springs is 32 miles down creek/river. Great access to hiking, floating, biking (Glenwood Canyon) and hunting, or best yet relaxing next to a beautiful creek. Brink's Outfitters at Sweetwater Lake has horses and guides for riding.
