The Carriage House in historic Bristol is a short walk to downtown restaurants, shops, coffee shops, two neighborhood beaches, museums, public library, churches and several wedding venues. It is a half block to the Prudence Island and Providence to Newport Ferry and a short walk to the Bike Shop (rentals) and the East Bay Bike Path which leads to Colt State Park. Enjoy Bristol's working harbor area while staying in the second floor guest suite of our historic, recently-renovated 1807 home. Just steps from the Prudence Island Ferry dock, historic Robin Rug mill, restaurants, shops, and the East Bay bike path, and a five-minute drive to Roger Williams University or Colt State Park. (Situated halfway between Providence and Newport — a perfect location!) *Note: Our lovely main floor/front staircase can be rented for wedding and other photography sessions.
