Near the historic town of Clifton Forge, you will find the peaceful escape you have been searching for. The area is ideal for hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing and fishing. Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

Less than 20 minutes to downtown Roanoke and 50 minutes to Virginia Tech means that you can have the best of everything in the New River and Roanoke Valley.

Edifice Rex, a 300 square foot studio apartment, is only one mile and less than 2 minutes from Interstate 81 yet offers a very bucolic, peaceful setting. Countless cultural, historical and recreational opportunities exist within a 30 mile radius. The James River and Appalachian Trail are but minutes away. The name, "Edifice Rex" is to honor the caretaker on the property, a German Shepard named Rex. You will not have to interact with him ( he wears a radio collar) but he welcomes attention.

Get away to the country in beautiful Montvale. We are 1.7 miles off US460 between Roanoke and Bedford. We have views of the Peaks of Otter, horses across the street, and nearby hiking trails. Our private 2 bedroom apartment is a great place to relax and unplug. Fully functional, furnished kitchen with microwave, fridge, full size stove and Keurig. We are 30 minutes to downtown Roanoke, 40 minutes to Lynchburg, 20 minutes to the Peaks of Otter. No pets please.
