Welcome to Hearth & Hobbit, Columbia's most beloved home! Originally built in the late 1800s as a two room cabin, this historic cottage is known locally by many names such as the Gingerbread House, Hansel & Gretel House, or the Elf House. You will love this whimsical and cozy home full of historic details. Located less than one mile from Columbia's downtown district and Mizzou. **All guests must acknowledge/accept the rental agreement prior to booking. This is in the "House Rules" section**

Charming 3 Bedroom Cottage in the Countryside

Our house is the perfect getaway for a family, group of friends or a couple. The lake and gardens around the house provide the quiet and peace of a retreat place, away from the busyness and distractions of the city. It's a very pretty drive to Columbia, MO (about 30 minutes), and 20 minutes to Rocheport, a very cute historical town by the Missouri River. A beautiful attraction that is close to our property is the Warm Springs Ranch. The Clydesdale breeding farm. This is a great place to visit.

Welcome to our cozy retreat in the heart of Columbia. Home of the Mizzou Tigers, True/False Film Festival, Katy Trail, historic downtown, and much more! Located within a 1 mile drive to downtown, your home away from home includes off-street parking, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, patio, and fenced back yard. Nestled onto 10 peaceful acres, w/pond about 15 minutes to downtown Columbia and the University, close to restaurants, and activities, that is if you want to leave the Pool and the quiet of the country. 8 beds, + a few air mattresses, plus 2 pack/plays. You'll love the kitchen, the peace, and the coziness. The in-ground heated pool is 25 x 50 feet. (Closed mid Oct. - mid April) We stock wood for the fire pit, so roast hot dogs, or make S'mores! No parties! No unregistered visitors please.

We can accommodate from 1 night stays to monthly reservations! 1 - 2 guests are recommended for long term and short term stays. 3 guests for short term stays. Welcome! Step into the serenity of trees and sky. The yurt has been crafted to relax and refresh you with comfort and convenience and the simple joys of peaceful proximity to nature. The round common room has a kitchenette, queen-size bed, table, chairs, and a futon which opens out to a double bed. A shower room completes the setting. And now no additional cleaning fee!. also, the water is from our deep well: tested, certified.... And delicious!

Large Mother-In-Law Apartment Surrounded by Park

We have a delightful mother-in-law apartment that is perfect for families, business travelers, girls' weekends and more. The space includes two large bedrooms (one on the main level and one upstairs), a living room, kitchenette (no oven/stove) and bathroom, and it is fully furnished. We are pet-friendly, but charge an extra $50 to your reservation fee. Please let us know if you plan to bring a pet.
