Nestled in a grove of white pines, protecting the house from the road, this sweet spot will meet guests seeking quiet and relaxation. Curl up in your cozy bedroom. Lounge on the back deck. Take a long nap in the hammock. Relax by the wood stove. You might not want to leave! But if you do choose to explore the area, Northwoods Nest is in a great location located five miles from Washburn, one mile from a (class 1 fishery) river, three miles from the beach and nine miles to Bayfield. Stunning Bark Point Home on Superior's South Shore

One of a kind, open/loft-concept (see pics: it really is open) artisan-crafted lake home on Superior's south shore: paddle in summer/ice hike in winter. Breathtaking sunsets. 300+ feet of private shoreline or short walk to public beach. Great kitchen. Up to 8 people and most dogs welcome - PET FEE: pets are an extra $25 (there is a place to leave this next to the house manual on the kitchen counter) Scenic huge patio with built-in fire pit (BYO firewood) We hope you love it as much as we do!

Nestled in the middle of the Bayfield County Forest, this rustic, minimally maintained yurt has direct access to miles of non-motorized rec trails (CAMBA single track & Mt Ashwabay nordic ski/ hiking trails). Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Superior including, Pike's Bay, four of the Apostle Islands (Madeline, Basswood, Stockton & Michigan) & the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Come prepared to relax, unwind & explore the wonders of the north woods. Yurt access walk in only & is 3/4 mile uphill.

The Acorn of Little Sand Bay Dog Friendly

Modern-rustic, Aframe on 10 wooded acres; beautiful, simple décor, fully equipped kitchen, glass stove top, air-fryer oven, filtered H2O/ice maker. Enjoy a luxurious bathroom, with a heated tile floor, walk-in shower. Towels, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash are provided. King bed in loft and NEW king gel memory foam bed on main floor. Smart TV, wi-fi. Woodstove heats the cabin perfectly as the main heat source. All wood is provided for woodstove and firepit. There is a minisplit heat/ac unit.

The Onion River Tavern House near Bayfield

Located ten minutes from Bayfield and Washburn, this is a casual, comfortable, and welcoming 2-bedroom located across the highway from Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands. Once a tavern, named for the Onion River that flows nearby, this rental has a spacious kitchen & living area & 3rd bed in the hallway. Easy, plentiful parking. Artesian spring water. Less than a mile from best beach in the region, Mt. Ashwabay ski hill, Big Top Chautauqua & biking & hiking trails. We are pet friendly.

Norrsken Scandinavian Cottage

The guest cottage is painted to resemble a Scandinavian retreat. Complete with separate bedroom, extra fold-out sofa queen bed, kitchenette, wood burning stove, WiFi (the best we can find but not great!!!) and large television (DirecTV), it is a great getaway for a couple or a family. Owners live on property if you need anything. If you are a bit adventurous, we can put up a tent right next to Lake Superior. The entire property is smoke free. For a quiet stay, no snowmobiles or ATVs.

Henny Penny-Quiet and Close to Town

This home is located on beautiful Madeline Island, less than a mile from the ferry dock and all La Pointe has to offer—beaches, shops, restaurants/bars, galleries, kayak rentals, marina, golf course and more! Easily bike or walk to town. Enjoy quiet evenings on the deck and added privacy, as the home is not visible from the road. Less than 1 mile from the Madeline Island Marathon start line and the Fourth of July parade and fireworks! 🎆

Romantic Vineyard Cabin, Sauna, Plunge Pool

Come and celebrate all that Bayfield has to offer at this quiet vineyard and forest getaway, just 2 miles from downtown. Located in Bayfield's charming Fruit Loop, you'll be surrounded by vines, forest, orchards, and berry farms. The Scandinavian cabin, forest facing sauna with plunge pool, and vineyard sit within acres of secluded woods. The cabin has an occupancy limit of 2 adults and one dog. There is a $40 pet fee.

The Long House

My place is close to Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands It is located 2 miles north of Washburn or 10 miles south of Bayfield. Peaceful country setting, the long house is a freshly remodeled mobile home. Sorry, no pets. I have increased the number of guests to six . There are 4 double beds in the cabin. If you are booking with more than 4 guests, please allow for this. Thanks you! Open June 1 - mid October
