Spring has arrived and the dogwood flowers are magical. Venture into wild or stay cozy by our fireplace and marvel at nature through the huge living room windows. Beyond the cabin only the vast GW National Forest. Our cabin offers all modern amenities including high speed wifi, central air, and a gourmet kitchen. Keep your eyes open for wildlife. The cabin is a stone throw from lakes and endless trails. Or maybe go skiing? But be warned - you may not wish to leave once you put your feet up!

Welcome to our lovely cabin on the top of the mountain! With sweeping, 270-degree views in three seasons and layers of mountains visible and lush greenery in summer, here you have space to truly disconnect, center yourself in nature, listen to the sounds of crickets, birds, and tree frogs, and enjoy dark sky star views. Enjoy the cooler weather at this altitude, the breeze through the trees, and the spectacular view from the spacious back porch and cozy lighted screened porch on our 5 acre lot.

Whip up a gourmet meal in the small but well-appointed kitchen. Three dining areas offer options for dinner -- or a remote office, thanks to wifi. Sample nearby hiking, yoga, and farmers' market. We're a little rustic (no TV, AC, microwave, laundry or dishwasher) and a lot stylish!

The log cabin was built in the 1950’s and is nestled in the majestic George Washington National Forest. A convenient two-hour trip from Washington D.C. and minutes from Winchester, Virginia, this quaint home makes the perfect retreat. It accommodates couples, families, and furry friends. There are two public lakes Warden Lake (approx 7 miles away)and Trout Pond Recreation (approx 10 miles away. You're a guest once, then you're family!

This renovated, 130-year-old cabin is a peaceful retreat surrounded by the George Washington National Forest and five minutes from great hiking at Wolf Gap Recreation Area or Half Moon Trailhead. If hiking isn't your thing, don't worry, the views from the porch are incredible. We suggest grilling out on the wrap-around deck while you watch the deer graze their dinner. Then get a great night's sleep on super-comfortable beds.
