Tan y Dderwen is nestled in the tranquil village of Cilycwm in the beautiful Towy Valley. This modern, self-sufficient annexe manages to be simultaneously cosy, light and spacious; stunning views across the hills lend it a quiet majesty. Located between the Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains, you will be within touching distance of some of Wales’s most iconic landscapes, including the Celtic rainforest at RSPB Dinas. It is perfectly located for walkers, cyclists, naturalists and stargazers!

Relax in a beautifully converted 16th-century Barn

Set within an acre of secluded gardens, Penroc Barn sits in the beautiful Welsh countryside just outside the market town of Llandovery. It dates from the sixteenth century and is a self-contained part of a larger property where the owner lives. It has been uniquely and sympathetically converted to retain its true character and highlight the beautiful old beams. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families & kids, and furry friends (Two well-behaved pets only).

An historic fully refurbished character barn attached to our traditional Welsh Long House home. Having a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed accessing it via a beautiful spiral staircase. Downstairs is an open plan lounge kitchen dinner with a wood burning stove and a beautiful chandelier. The kitchen is well appointed including electric oven/hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a wine cooler. Large windows are at the front and back of the property with the most stunning views.

Gallt Yr Adar Fawr is a comfortable, spacious five bedroomed house, nestling in a beautiful valley flanked by trees and hills and overlooking its own lake. The farmhouse is a dedicated holiday home and is situated within our 200 acre farmland estate and offers its visitors a quiet, restful escape from hectic city life. Whether fishing in the lake or barbecuing on the terrace one can relax and observe the plentiful wildlife and fall into the embrace of this peaceful and tranquil location.

The Toad…Quirky train stay with wood fired hot tub

Step aboard The Toad, a beautifully restored 1921 GWR brake van (AKA Toad Wagon), once a vital part of post-war goods trains. Weighing 20 tons and brimming with original rustic features, this historic wagon offers characterful self-catering accommodation with a touch of luxury. Enjoy your own private en-suite with hot shower, wood-fired hot tub, and peaceful soundtrack of birdsong and country life. The Toad makes a fantastic all-year-round base to explore the Brecon Beacons and beyond.

Tŵr-Ffoledd-Quirky and unique. Nr Llanwrtyd Wells.

Escape to a unique and quirky rural retreat. The literal English translation of Tŵr-Ffoledd is "Tower of Folly". We think that's a pretty accurate description given its dramatic tall outline and the unusual features found in the interior. It's a peaceful, dog friendly holiday retreat in beautiful Mid Wales close to the Brecon Beacons, Llanwrtyd Wells, Elan Valley and Builth Wells. Please note that the steep stairs make this property unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Great for bird watching, hill walking, cycling, swimming, or just relaxing. Enjoy the scenery from the garden with your morning cuppa. Nestled in the stunning countryside of the Brecon Beacons, just a stone's throw from the market towns of Llandeilo and Llandovery, Ynyswen Barcud is a cosy Salt & City Stays retreat for the whole family. The cottage offers a modern finish with rustic features, stained glass panels (made by Lesley, the owner), a cosy log-burner and expansive gardens. If you enjoy hiking, stargazing, cycling or bird watching, this is a perfect base, with lots for all ages to explore.

A cottage set in the idyllic Welsh countryside. The open plan kitchen/diner leads through to a seating area with wood burning stove. A separate downstairs lounge contains the original oven/stove and has a large window seat providing beautiful views across the valley. Aberdar is perfect for getting away from it all and provides a great base for walking, bird watching or exploring the picturesque counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.

The Old Sunday School Room next to the River Hydfer is a lovely cottage in the centre of the tiny hamlet of Traianglas, just 2 miles from the village of Trecastle. It is perfect for couples or families who enjoy staying in a traditional Victorian building that has been renovated sympathetically to include all mod cons. In the heart of the Brecon Beacons, the cottage is ideally placed for hillwalking, cycling and exploring.
