Áre is house, Rupe is the Cook Islands name of the Pacific pigeon that fly between palm trees and feed on the palms berries. You will see the resident birds swooping and hear their coo as they fly from tree to tree. Set in the foothills of Kavera, Arorangi on the West side of Rarotonga.
