Or if you want a larger beach for swimming with an array of restaurants, bars and shops you can travel 5 minutes down the road to Unawatuna Beach. The Surf Shack is a cozy and unique studio right on the beach, complete with air con, an outdoor lounging area, a kingsize double bed and ensuite bathroom. Its private outdoor area has sunbeds and is directly facing the surf break on Dewata beach. Enjoy all the activities on offer such as surfing, slackline, climbing wall, kayaking and much more. Kikili Paddy is a beautiful ground floor apartment (2 storey building), in the quiet village of Mihiripenna, on Sri Lanka's South Coast. It sits beside a picturesque paddy field, in a peaceful spot, only a 5-minute walk to the beach, and a tuk tuk ride from the attractions of Galle Fort, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. This cozy, one-bedroom, self-contained, air-conditioned apartment, opens onto a private terrace overlooking the verdant paddy fields; (and also has occasional use of a pool).

Surf spots, restaurants, bars and shops are located within walking distance.
