An Airidh (Gaelic for 'The Sheiling") is a cosy cottage for two that has recently been lovingly refurbished to a high standard in traditional style. It nestles below the mighty Liathach and the seashore, in the village of Torridon and has wonderful views of the mountains and sea all around. It has a well equipped kitchen and dining area, a comfortable living area and bedroom with an en suite shower room. All are centrally heated and perfect for all seasons.
The flat is situated in the rural crofting settlement of Big Sand around 4.5 miles from the village of Gairloch. The flat is a basement flat and is part of our 3 storey family home. It has just been completely refurbished and now has a fully equiped modern kitchen, kingsized bedroom, shower room and spacious living room with an eating area. The flat can be accessed through the owners main door, however guests have the whole lower floor to themselves. Please note there is no view from the flat.
“Við skemmtum okkur konunglega hjá Lorna. Íbúðin var mjög hrein og notaleg - stærri en við bjuggumst við - með frábæru notalegu rúmi. Það er staðsett nálægt fallegri strönd; umhverfið er rólegt og friðsælt. Lorna er mjög góð og hjálpsöm, hún gaf sér tíma til að sýna okkur og spjalla aðeins. Við elskuðum líka gæludýr fjölskyldunnar -Baxter er svo elskan :) Engu að síður get ekki mælt með nógu stað Lorna; við erum mjög ánægð með að koma aftur næst þegar við heimsækja Skotland !!”
