Welcome to Kanda East, our lovingly restored home that dates back to the 1970s. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind, while being a 1-minute walk to one of the best cafes in the area, a 3-minute walk to our local beach that's great for snorkelling and swimming, and less than 10 minutes walk to our nearest surf spot. The house comes with its own private pool too, an essential in the Tropics! For larger groups, Kanda West adjoins this property, and sleeps two extra people in one bedroom.

STAY at Ahangama

STAY at Ahangama is a 1950s built villa renovated to its current standard in 2016. The villa is very spacious and lets in plenty of light, especially in the main livingroom area. The villa features a middle courtyard with a fish pond and a pool with a deck to cool off the usually hot temperature in Galle. You can reach Ahangama beach within five minutes (walking), and Mirissa beach or Unawatuna beach in 20 minutes by vehicle. The Galle Fort is within a 25 minute drive from our property.

The Gatehouse Galle

The Gatehouse is an exclusive, private self catering getaway for a couple or a solo traveller. It is located at the entrance to the estate and features a private 8-metre pool. It is an ideal home base to explore the local areas of Galle and beyond. Everything you need is provided in stylish, designer luxury. The washing machine and dryer make travelling easy and hiring a scooter from Epic Rides or using Uber or Pick me apps allows easy beach and local historic site access.

With a long coral reef all along the beach just 70m from the sand it forms our famous natural swimming pool. Sometimes you can swim with giant turtles. You can swim all year round and 24 hours a day. We provide all services you need. From airport transfers to tours or day trips, fishing, snorkeling along the reef to scuba diving from Unawatuna Dive Center, meals and drinks, Ayurveda Treatments to Yoga lessons. Studio Aurora offers a spacious studio with sleek design, spectacular ocean views and direct beach access. Just steps away from the best cafes, restaurants, bars, beaches and breaks, Studio Aurora is at the center of it all!
