Our cottage has a wood burning stove, which keeps you cosy on winter evenings. Situated right by Trawsfynydd lake, with amazing views. If peace and tranquility is what you are looking for then this is the perfect spot for you. Sorry no pets. And no swimming or inflatables allowed on Trawsfynydd lake as it’s primarily a fishing lake. Great cycle and footpath round the lake for any one wanting to get out. We are situated inside the snowdonia national park so plenty of places to visit close by.

Enjoying an elevated position with outstanding views, the house has been lovingly resorted whilst retaining many original features including exposed beams and original slate floors.

Afonfa - Riverside Cottage - Sleeps 6

Located on the edge of the village of Llanuwchllyn, at the end of a private drive, Afonfa is the perfect cottage for families and groups. The semi-detached cottage has three bedrooms and can sleep a total of six people. The ground floor of this fully refurbished cottage has a large kitchen diner, with comfortable lounge area with two sofas and flat screen TV. The separate utility room has a washing machine, dryer and toilet. The first floor family bathroom has a separate shower and bath.

Accommodation comprises a double bedroom, a bedroom with queen size bed (suitable for x1 child/young adult or x2 small children sharing, a shower room and wc and open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. An outdoor area adjoins the chalet with table and chairs and designated area for bbq with fire pit. Pets welcome (x1 ) £20 per stay. Pets not to be left unattended in chalet. Mach loop viewing point is 10 minutes away. Coed y Brenin mountain bike trails is 15 minutes from chalet by car

Chester House is an ideal base for groups of hikers, mountain bikers or families wanting to explore Snowdonia. Dolgellau is a pretty little town, sitting in lovely walking country beneath the Cader Idris mountain range. The sea, and some delightful beaches are just down the road, too! There are lots of restaurants/cafes, pubs and supermarkets within a 5-minute walk.
