The best meals are home-cooked and thanks to the magic of the Internet, I will show you how to make Kenyan cuisines from scratch with ingredients and materials from your own kitchen! In this interactive experience, I will teach you how to prepare authentic kenyan cuisines all using the techniques from my family own recipe. i may be in kenya, but I will make sure you learn how to serve a delicious dinner/lunch wherever you are.

We will be having three menus in different days
1) Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
CURRY, CHAPATI, UGALI and
steamed cabbage & carrot
2) Monday
Chicken /beef/vegetable korma
Served with MUKIMO(IRIO) and steamed cabbage
3) Tuesday and Wednesday

  • Utensils:3 pots, a nonstick frying pan, a bowl, a rolling pin, a grater or a blender
  • 1) Vegetables: 1/4 cabbage cut into medium sizes,1 medium size carrots grated, 1 diced onion and 2 table spoon of butter or margarine or oil
  • 2) Ugali: 1 cup maize/corn flour (medium grind flour), 1 table spoon butter, salt
  • 3) Chapati: 3 cups of all purpose flour, or gluten free flour, 1 table spoon of butter, 1 table spoon of sugar, salt and oil

Gracious host and delicious food! I took this class with my 16 y.o. niece and we had an amazing time. Josephine is a wonderful teacher - we loved learning how to make delicious Kenyan cuisine! You can modify for vegetarian or vegan. Highly recommend.

Josephine created an experience for us that was spectacular. She was very engaging and very attentive. We enjoyed everything, the cooking, the storytelling, the food! Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Wir hatten eine sehr coole Zeit mit Josephine. Sie ist sehr sympathisch, lustig und herzlich. Zudem war das Essen noch sehr lecker. Also eine absolute Empfehlung, wenn man die kenianische Küche kennenlernen möchte.

My family and I loved this experience. Josephine was soo lovely and kind and such a beautiful soul. I live in Australia and my parents live in Canada so it was a great way for us to do a virtual activity together for Christmas. Josephine was really great at managing both of us and instructing us really well, even though we were both making different curries. We loved our food too :) We would definitely recommend.

Josephine war eine zauberhafte Gastgeberin, die uns mit Begeisterung und Geduld durch jeden einzelnen Schritt den Menüs geführt und sich über jeden Erfolg mit uns gefreut hat. Das Essen war fantastisch, wir werden es bald wieder kochen. Nebenbei erzählte sie uns von ihrem Heimatland Kenia und den Einflüssen auf die dortige Küche - sehr interessant. Wir können die Teilnahme nur empfehlen und überlegen noch einen weiteren Kurs bei ihr zu besuchen.

I enjoyed Josephine's class last week so much that I booked another one! This one was just as much fun and was a gift for my brother. Josephine is so good at teaching, funny, kind, warm and friendly. I highly recommend any of her classes.
