Not just good coffee: only 5 euros will get you a decent breakfast with coffee, fresh juice, croissant with jam and a boiled egg. You can sit either inside or outside on wooden benches.

Have not been here myself, though it is so close, but apparently they do very good and huge grill dishes - and some veggie options as well. Rock/Americana vibe.

This spacious complex used to be a tram remise. It is refurbished as indoor delicacy food court. Also cinema and art shops. Great to have a bite and some drinks when it is raining!

Best breakfast, lunch and pizzas in town! Less than 10 minutes stroll from my place, you find this amazing café/restaurant which serves giant, affordable and healthy brunch/lunch or pizzas. The sunny terrace is perfect in Spring and Summer.

De School is a former school turned into a very good restaurant, café and nightclub. Industrial atmosphere and very happening. The nightclub is to dark for my taste, but the restaurant is amazing. Reservations needed.

The coolest park in Amsterdam :) Not many trees, but beautiful architecture. Brick buildings used to be factories, now: brewery, design shops, restaurants, cinema, and more. Packed on sunny days.
