Parks & Nature
Beautiful place, people come here just to watch the sunset over the Olympic Mountains. I proposed to my husband there spontaneously- that is how romantic the place can be! Full Sound and Olympic Mountain views. There is a broad man made sandy beach (seattle has only one other sand beach, Alki in West Seattle), Little Coney, a great fish and chips style shack with ice cream, open grills, picnic structures, volley ball nets, soccer field, bonfires areas- and a great playground for kids with brand new equipment. You can find peace and quiet on one end, parties on the other.

At certain times of year you can actually see the salmon run upstream in the park! If you have kids, there is a good playground with structures for all ages. Picnic sites/tables/grills available.

Staggering views of Mt. Rainier and the Olympics from the beach, it is a lovely beach. My husband and I chose that spot to get hitched! On the way back, another opportunity for wooded trail hiking, with some elevation gain, but not so challenging that small kids couldn't do it- it can also be bypassed. Just an amazing park.

Greenlake is amazing. There is a paved 3 miles loop, join all of Seattle running, skating, walking, and pushing their strollers. You will see ALL of our people & pets- all walks or life and fitness levels. Eateries and boat rentals at one corner with a beach- lots of cafes nearby!

Best margarita selection, quality of tequilas !!! The food is amazing, fresh Oaxacan cuisine. Cocktel des Camarones and Halibut Tacos are my favorite. Lively atmosphere, expect loud!
