This place is the best. A quick Uber ride from our house, Ba Bar is delicious and affordable Vietnamese food. They serve until 1 or 2am! The food is delicious and healthy and they play Kung Fu movies on a big screen on Friday nights. A locals place in Seattle.

I think this is the best, most affordable burger in Seattle (The Minimum Wage Buger is amazing). They also have vegan and GF options, all wrapped up in an awesome, Seattle-esque vibe. The servers are like Wes Anderson characters. Oak is a quick Uber from our house and they serve late-ish (11pm or so, call to confirm). Great beer and drinks selection if you just want a chill bar, as well.

I lived in France for almost a year, and this place is about as close to a local, chill French restaurant as you can get. The owner lived over there for a bit and they serve an absolutely amazing steak frites. Don't miss the salad vert or the pot de chocolate for dessert. This place is also great just for a glass of wine or a beer in the day. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This place isn't fancy, but I think it has some of the best sushi in Seattle at an affordable price. Jeans and a t-shirt and perfect here and you really get the vibe that it is a family owned and operated establishment.

Just next to Cafe Presse on Capital Hill, this is a great coffee shop to hang out at in the day and do some work (if you can get a bench seat). There isn't an abundance of seating, but it is amazing people watching there.

U Village is great for finding great, large retailers in a nice walkable mall. Madewell, J.Crew, Apple, Lululemon, Anthropologie and Nike and Amazon all have great shops here.

This store is great because they curate amazing local jewelry, pottery, high end clothing, cool plants and other awesome treasures. It is a little spendy, but it is great to check out. Plus, the surrounding market has other amazing shop finds.

This place has SO MANY BEERS. Let me be clear though, it is kind of like a glorified convenience store. With picnic tables, inside and out. A fantastic beer and cider selection from local brewers and beyond. A fun Seattle scene until late. If you are searching for food, they always have a rotating food truck serving, but they don't serve super late. Call them to check on what truck is there and how late they will be offering food! You get your food and then take it into Chuck's to enjoy with your drink of choice.

This isn't really a beach, but it is a sweet dock where locals take a six pack and jump in Lake Washington. The dock has 'no swimming' signs, but feel free to fling yourself in, even if there are people fishing off the dock.
