If you live more than 5kms away you are allowed in the club without a membership. The food and drinks are affordable and the view is worth a million dollars. Sit outside on the balcony and watch the surfers right in front of you. You can just have a drink there too. Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
I have seen dolphins catching the waves while sipping on a glass of wine.

If you like a walk along to the north end of the beach this is a great restaurant to sit in the sun or inside and watch the world go by. Place to be seen. You can watch people attempt surfing lessons while relaxing in the restaurant or on the deck.

Sightseeing
This would be my favourite walk. Its a cliff top coastal walk with lost of places to stop and have breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will pass stunning beach BBQ spots, great surfing & swimming areas. Do some whale and dolphin watching or see the famous sculptures by the sea (20 Oct to 6 Nov) There is a coffee table book in the apartment showing you the sculptures over the years. It's a 2 hour walk to Coogee and add on another hour & half if you want to continue to Maroubra Beach.

Bondi Junction is the closest large Westfields shopping Centre & train station. You can catch the bus just outside the door at the bus shelter on Campbell Parade. You can see the bus shelter from our balcony. The buses run up to Bondi Junction all the time.
