Prohibition has a diverse menu: my personal favourites are the smoked chicken nachos and the chicken lollipops. Drinks are cheap during "Hooch Hour" daily from 4pm to 7pm. Also, great bar and dancing on Friday & Saturday night!!!

The Best Apple Fritters you will ever have: apples are sliced, coated with funnel cake batter, deep fried and coated with sugar and cinnamon. Made fresh while you wait! A Leslieville must do!!!

Great Pub if you want to grab a pint of beer and some food. Highly recommend the Kale salad (for the healthy eaters) and the wings. But I haven't been disappointed with anything on the menu!!

Best homemade gelato and ice cream in Toronto!! Line ups become very long after dinner but you can bypass by buying a pint of ice cream from their freezer instead of a cone!! :)

Very popular brunch hang out!!! Line ups can be over 1.5 hour wait on the weekends starting around 1030am - but they open early at 7:30am which is good for the early risers. They are best known for their eggs benedict!

Shopping

A very cool store which features various nice things (and great non-kiitch souvenirs) made by local artists. I simply want to buy everything in that store!!!! Some of my personal favourites: Toronto bag, Leslieville drawn map art, kid's "make a puppy" sewing kit, Leslieville creams & soaps, books, etc. You will not be disappointed and prices are very reasonable!!

This market features different ecclectic items to be purchased by local artists (vintage canoe paddles, vintage lamps, clothing, art, etc.) The Arts Market recently opened up a new location on Queen St E in Leslieville west of Logan. One of my favourite stores with products changing all the time!!!

A large two block 3 level+ shopping mall which has a plethora of clothing stores, a food court, book stores, etc. Should you be looking for a particular store, I would advise looking at their website to see the store listing and location.

Essentials

This Shoppers Drug Mart (located right beside me) is one of the only drug marts that offers a very good selection of groceries and fresh food in the city (vegetables, fruits, bakery, pasta, frozen isle, etc.). Shoppers Drug Mart also has a pharmacy, Canada Post, cleaning products, toys for kids and personal care items. Regular prices are a bit higher than a regular grocery store but weekly sales make the prices cheaper than the regular grocery store!

Sightseeing

Rated as one of the top ten sites to see in Toronto by all of my Airbnb guests (over 60+ groups). A definite must see whilst in Toronto. Take the time to open the doors that look closed as they lead to cool art galleries, a museum on the history of the distillery, cool stores, Mill Street Brew Pub Tour, etc.

Parks & Nature

Great spot to take pictures of the Financial District sky line. In the winter the park features a large open skating rink and hill sliding. In the summer, it features great hiking trails, running track, indoor/ outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, soccer nets, baseball diamonds, etc.

The Recreation Centre has a large park which features a kids fun park, a dog section, tennis & basketball courts and hosts many festivals during the summer. The centre itself has an indoor swimming pool and a variety of exercises and activities for both adults and kids (some free!).
