Beautiful old city park with spectacular 100 year old Douglas Fir trees and gorgeous greenery. Ball field, nice kids playground equipment, and great marked hiking trail to Oakes Bottom Wildlife Refuge. Also has a great city swimming pool.

It's very close to Multnomah Falls (only partially open now due to a forest fire in 2017), and offers an incredible view of a unique basalt rock formation water fall. It is my favorite water fall in addition to Multnomah. Skip the upper viewpoint trail, and go to the base of the falls instead. If you want a hike, also walk up to the upper Latourelle Falls.
SAFETY TIP: NEVER walk off the marked trails on ANY hike in this area. Many people get lost easily or stumble off hidden cliffs.
