The University of Oulu Botanical Gardens is located on the main campus of the University of Oulu. The total area of the botanical gardens is 16 hectares. While outdoor gardens grow plants suitable for local weather, there are two pyramid-shaped greenhouses housing plants from warmer climatic zones.
