ICE CREAM WAS BORN IN FLORENCE! Not everyone knows that the birth of the milk-based or cream-based ice cream is quite recent: it born around 1565 in Florence, at the court of Caterina De' Medici, thanks to the architect Bernardo Buontalenti.
