Placed at walking distance from Piata Unirii, this is one of the oldest monasteries in town. The outside walls are simple, not painted but the inside part is beautiful painted in bright colors. In the north of the church is kept the bell tower, the last vestige of the once powerful monastic enclosure. The monastery's cells are big(in fact, they look like real blocks) and look recently rehabilitated. Across the street is church Bucur, an interesting little church.

It is an amazing place in the heart of the city with the ability to make you feel like you are miles away.

Founded by Alexandru II Mircea (1568–1577) and his wife Ecaterina, Radu Vodă Monastery is a Romanian Orthodox monastery in the centre of Bucharest. It is a oasis of peace and tranquility away from the noise of the city, although it is right in the heart of the noisey city centre
