Known for its surfing contests, Joaquina also boosts the best points for sandboarding in the city. Go for a day in the beach and take advantage of the great views from the dunes for sandboarding near the end of day. Nightlife in neighbouring Lagoa, along Avenida das Rendeiras, is usually lively and diversified.
