Commonwealth Park is the venue for some of Canberra's major events. Here you will find over 30 hectares of lawns, gardens, walks and ponds on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin. Major events held here are: Australia Day Fireworks Floriade in September/October

It's a lovely open park. Beautiful at any time of the day with views across the lake and to the Brindabella's.

This is a great place to see Canberra as a beautifully-designed city. You can walk by Lake Burly Griffin for as long as you like and see iconic buildings, beautiful gardens, with hills in the background. Beautiful! One of my favourite places.

A center building with the history of Canberra, you will see the iconic fountain and a restaurant is also there to sit eat lunch and enjoy view over the lake
