It is one of the most iconic moments in all of college football: Jordan-Hare’s capacity crowd of almost 90,000 rumbling in unison as a rare eagle is released to free-fly in circles around the stadium, eventually landing mid-field on its leathery pseudo-prey. We defy any living, breathing human, regardless of the colors you wear, to not get goose bumps from this phenomenon. Nova (War Eagle VII) is a resident of Auburn University’s Southeastern Raptor Rehabilitation Center, where he has been raised and trained, along with his bald eagle friend Spirit, to open home football games in this inspirational fashion. War Eagle y’all.

When visiting Smiths Station, Al you must simply visit Jordan Hare stadium and watch an Auburn game or tail gate. The home is only about 25 miles from the stadium so it makes for a perfect stay for those traveling for a game or a concert held at the stadium.

Jordan-Hare Stadium is home to the Auburn (Football) Tigers; a 30 mile (40 minute) drive, it is one of the most raucous and lively places in the Country. Seating just over 88,000 people, it is home to Cam Newton, Bo Jackson, Pat Sullivan (all three were Heisman Trophy Winners) and home to the Nations Best College Football Rivarly (every odd year) - The Iron Bowl - pitting Auburn University and The University of Alabama in a game that can only be explained by experiencing it. The Deep South's Oldest Rivarly (Auburn University vs. The University of Georgia) is also housed in Jordan-Hare Stadium (every odd year).

Home of the Auburn Tigers. Tip: Arrive to the football game 45 minutes early to see the Eagle fly around the stadium and Jets fly in unison overhead.
