All around the Gärtnerplatz you can find several bars which a known to be the coolest in town. A lot of students are spending their evenings hanging out in this area. During daytime this is also a good area to go shopping. You can find green shops and pop up stores, as well as nice bookshops and cafes...

great area with small nice stylish boutiques... not the kind of big malls or such... different small things here! Very nice also to get drinks or see the hip area of munich!
