The Ring of Brodgar (or Brogar, or Ring o' Brodgar) is a Neolithic henge and stone circle about 6 miles north-east of Stromness on the Mainland, the largest island in Orkney, Scotland. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Heart of Neolithic Orkney.

The Ring of Brodgar is a Neolithic henge and stone circle. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can visit anytime of day and night. It is an unescorted site in the evening hours. It is situated a couple of miles from Smiddy Cottage. It is one of the northernmost examples of hung circles in the U.K. it is a site of great presence and awe. Thoroughly recommended and not to be missed.
