Madrina's is a sweet Cuban bar newly opened in downtown Gainesville. They offer a variety of very well made tropical and classic cocktails, beer and wine. Some nights they have popping live Latin music inside the bar. Just a note: the space is small and can get very noisy very fast :)

Absolutely delicious Cuban-style cocktails. Happy hour (4-7) offers a nice selection of rum drinks.
