Ffynone is a beautiful, secluded waterfall that you can swim in on the river Dulas in the Cwm Cych valley. It is reputed to be the entrance to the Celtic other world "Annwn" mentioned in the first branch of the Mabinogion, where Pwyll, Prince of Dyfed, spent a year and a day in a stanger's court. It is near Newchapel, a small village on the B4332 in Pembrokeshire, close to Cenarth.

Nestled deep in the Ffynnone woods is a beautiful clearing and impressive waterfall. You can swim in it and have picnics. It is a lovely place and only 5 mins drive to the carpark and then a short walk. According to the Mabinogi (legendary Welsh stories compiled in the middle ages), Ffynone Waterfall is the gateway to Annwfn, an underworld that lies much deeper than our own.
