The Botanical gardens are worth a visit as part of a day trip to the NW side of Chiang Mai (around Doi Suthep), where you will also find attractions such as the Tiger World, Snake Park, the Karen Hill Tribe village and so on. The gardens are extensive, feature an aerial walk and many indoor houses of strange and exotic plants.

in Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, the beauty botanical garden, this is an absolute must!!. A wide variety of plants. There's a canopy walkway. a restaurant, and plants shop you can buy. Open everyday 8:30-5PM

A nice botanic garden all round with several interesting areas to visit. Unfortunately several of the more interesting sounding things were closed when we went, including the 'carnivorous' plants greenhouse and the museum but we still left satisfied and also enjoyed lunch there.
