Great Pub only a few mins walk away from Laurelea. Bottleshop for takeaways, TAB and Pokies if that's your scene. Good pub food.

The Phoenix Hotel was built in 1887, just 20 years after James Nash discovered gold in Gympie, and was named after the North Phoenix No. 2 Mine. To this day there are three tunnels under the Hotel, the closest being 100 metres from the surface.

The Phoenix caters to everyone. With great meals and only a gentle walk up the hill.

The Phoenix has recently renovated it's bar area, with modern accents and comfortable lounges. A quite space for a more intimate night out. Great cocktails and cold beer.
