Their motto is "If we ain't got it, you don't need it", and they're almost always right. From basic breakfast ingredients to ice to that sunscreen you forgot to bring, Buchanan's has what you need. Depending on the season, you may even be able to find locally-grown veggies as well locally-raised pork products. Buchanan's has been in business for many decades and Ali grew up visiting often, usually bare-footed and on the hunt for the perfect summer ice cream.

Great grill food. While food is being prepared there are plenty of things to shop for such as locally grown plants, farm fresh vegetables and lake souvenirs.

More than just a convenience store, Buchanans is a well known local favorite and the oldest general store in the NC area. The look of the building is meant to keep its history while offering modern conveniences. A staple in the community, they offer everything from milk and bread to fishing lures. Be sure to check out their outside garden area- full of one of a kind yard signs and decor. There is also a grill area, making made to order hot breakfast and lunch sandwiches, which are delicious!
